Are you getting ready to do some Spring Cleaning? If you are getting ready to sell a house, getting rid of all that extra stuff can real pay off. What are you going to do with all that stuff you want to get out of your home? Does it still have value for someone else? If so, you have many options.
You could host a garage sale. Make sure you give all your products a good cleaning and price them right. Be ready to bargain. My rule of thumb is that it’s better to get something than nothing. You do not want or need it anymore.
You could use social sites like Facebook and Letgo to get rid of your stuff locally. You can even use Ebay to sell stuff local and long distance. It is easier than you think, but it does take time, and mailing supplies. It pretty easy to print out labels at home so you do not have to waste your time at the post office.
You can donate your stuff to many different charities, schools and local churches. A lot of charities will even pick up boxes right outside your home or have convenient drop boxes. Make sure to check with condo and apartment rules before leaving thing outside. If you do choose to donate, do you know about It’s Deductible by turbo tax. It allows you to put in the stuff you are donating and tracks who and where you donated the stuff to. It does not cost anything to use, you are not locked in to using turbo tax to do your taxes and it does a pretty good job of tracking your charitable donations.
You can hire people to come your home and help you organized. Like always do your research. No matter how small or large the task there are people who can help you.
If you are planning to sell and do not know where to start or you want to go through your stuff and pass along those things you no longer need, Let me help.
